Irrevocable Wholeness Micro-Retreat

  • Svalja Whole-Being - Lotus Studio 16 1/2 North 1st Avenue West Duluth, MN, 55802 (map)
  • Deep Rest

How long have you carried the weight of the world on your shoulders
fueled by the adrenaline of your own resilience

How much armor have you built up around your being
    inside your own beautiful body
this tightly spun tension to survive the world

How often have you pulled yourself up by your own bootstraps
been applauded, awarded, admired for your strength

How many ways do you quiet the whispers of knowing
ignore the powerful ancient cry of deep rest
momma bear spirit within, wise grandmother ancestors,
    healers, heart of creation

You do not only have to be resilient
You do not only need to survive
You do not have to be strong all of the time
You are enough just as you are

May you lay your sweet head down for a while
return to the Mother of us all
be carried on her warm, strong back

    You are worthy of care
    allow yourself to be held
draw from this deep well of peace

    You deserve to be
    filled with this primal love
    protected
    your life depends on it

    This is the resistance
    This is the revolution

    - Kyle Leia Heyesen

Irrevocable Wholeness: Poems & Meditations to Hold it All is a collaboration between painter Sarah Brokke and poet Kyle Leia Heyesen that weaves together visual art and poetry in a moving exploration of healing, grief, and shared humanity.

This project is a vessel for individual and collective healing and care. The final product (release date October 2025) will be a standalone full color, softcover, high quality coffee table art and poetry book with the option of an accompanying Oracle Card set presented in a beautiful keepsake box that holds and preserves both the book and deck of cards. This offering lifts up and holds space for our sacred, deep, messy, difficult, and beautiful human experience. At its core it is a compass that points us back to our irrevocable wholeness; a gentle reminder that it is our birthright to rest in our wholeness.

This daylong micro-retreat expands on the project’s themes through immersive practices, inviting participants into a deeper personal experience of the work

Retreat at a Glance

  • Led by Sarah Brokke — Begin the day in sacred ritual drawing forth from your creative well. Tune inward to connect with your intuition for intention-setting synching with the energy of the new moon. Connect to spaciousness and breath for traversing the landscape of your inner world for self-healing and manifestation for this cycle. Create a collective mandala using materials from the natural world, with the intent to honor the earth and our time together.

  • A grounding session co-led by Kyle Leia and cellist Rebecca James Alsum, blending deep rest with live healing cello. Settle into this therapeutic, slow-paced session to move into your connective tissue to release and open more deeply. Live cello provides deep, resonant healing vibrations that gently break-up long-held tensions encouraging your physical body to soften and release. The soothing sounds of live cello offer comfort and calm, encouraging you to turn inward and explore your inner landscape, helping you connect with yourself more deeply. This beautiful coupling of Yin and healing cello vibrations may awaken new awareness, insight, inner-connection (mind-body-spirit), and transformation.

  • Guided by Kyle Leia — Connect with your Irrevocable Wholeness book and oracle card deck to tune-in to your mystical side. Gentle writing prompts and practices to reconnect to and reclaim your wholeness. Supportive practices to encourage regulation and reflection. Drop into your deep creative well of inner-knowing and draw forth your voice utilizing writing as a pathway of healing. No writing experience needed.

  • Create from the heart with guidance from Sarah Brokke, exploring a 'soul portrait'; an artistic and intuitive representation of an aspect of you. Moving beyond our exterior selves, Sarah will guide you in delving bravely into the unique layers of your being through creating as healing and play. Explore the medium of painting to express your true Self; processing, releasing, and connecting to your wholeness. No art experience needed.

  • Integration, sharing, and soft landings. Space for reflection, integration, and closing our collective healing circle mindfully, with tenderness, care, and deep love!
